AMTRAK'S RESPONSIBILITIES - Farr
Discovery Rail Tours, a division of Amorosi Travel International, Inc.
and its subcontractors are responsible to the participants in making
the arrangements for all vacation services and accommodations offered
as constituting the vacation. However, in the absence of negligence on
it part, Farr Discovery Rail Tours is not responsible for personal
injury or property damage caused by any direct carrier, hotel or other
supplies or services being offered in the vacation, delays incurred
due to mechanical difficulties or weather conditions or any
circumstances beyond Farr Discovery Rail Tours control.
The National Railroad Passenger Corporation
(AMTRAK) is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event
during the time passengers are not on board their trains or
conveyance. The passenger contract in use by the National
Railroad Passenger Corporation (AMTRAK) and purchaser of these tours
and/or passenger. All conditions noted above are subject to the
laws of the District of Columbia, USA. All rates and features on
this feature are in U.S. dollars, and subject to change or
cancellation without notice. These responsibilities apply to all
AMTRAK vacations.
BUDDY SYSTEM - We realize
that there are times when you would like to travel with us but are
unable to find a suitable roommate. We will make every effort to
secure a roommate for you. When you day your final payment, you
pay only the per person double rate. Ten days prior to the trip
departure, if we have not located a suitable roommate, you will then
pay the balance of the single rate less a 10% discount off the total
tour price.
CANCELLATIONS - Tours
canceled at least 30 day prior to trip departure will be fully
refundable. Tours cancelled between 30 days and two day prior to
departure will be refunded less any unrecoverable fees from our
suppliers and will be subject to a $25.00 change fee per person.
Tours cancelled less than two days prior to departure will no be
refunded, however, you may elect to have someone else travel in your
place. Cancellations for airline and cruise tours are subject to the
rules of the carriers.
DEPOSITS - One day tours
must be paid in full with 5 days of confirmation. Over night
tours for AMTRAK and motorcoach tours require a $100.00 per person
deposit. The balance will be due five weeks prior to departure.
If you wish to reserve a private sleeper accommodation on board the
train, the full amount of the sleeper cost must be paid with your
initial deposit. Deposits for airline or cruise tours will vary
with each tour.
INSURANCE - We offer low
cost trip protection cancellation insurance. This insurance must be
purchased at least 30 days prior to departure. Please ask your
reservation agent for information.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations for all tours may be made
phoning our office. You may
pay by credit card or send a check within five days after making the
reservations. We will send you a receipt showing the balance
due and the date it is due if you paid a deposit only.
SLEEPER ACCOMMODATIONS ON BOARD
Prices quoted for on board sleeper add-ons
are based on the ECONOMY SLEEPER. Deluxe, family or special
bedrooms availability and prices upon request. ALL MEALS IN THE
DINING CAR ARE INCLUDED while traveling in sleeper accommodations.
TOUR DOCUMENTS
Tour itineraries, luggage tags and boarding
information will be mailed 10 to 14 pays prior to departure date.
For AMTRAK ESCORTED TOURS, you will NOT receive your AMTRAK tickets in
the mail. Your tour guide will carry the tickets and stop off
the train to advise you of seat assignments.
